Rick Owens SS10 – Paris
With a stellar FW09 showing, the ss10 season falls short of what we’ve expected, with the exception of the; denim skirts combo, drop crotch shorts with narrow legs, two block/toned long sleeves and specifically the leather vests. Aesthetically, the skirts work very well with Rick’s concepts and we can only hope that he tweaks and brings it back for FW10. I’ve always been a huge fan of Rick outerwear (I own 6), but it seems the tailoring seen in some of SS09 and the majority of FW09 is completely thrown out.
The leather vests and tree trunk trainers/boots can seem a bit campy, but the season is built around these two pieces.
